Version 1.1.0 of AeroTone brings with it significant changes. See them all below. This build was released on Feb 26th 2026 to most stores, with Marketplace following shortly after.

Highlights

Major ATC Overhaul (Audio)

We have rebuilt our ATC audio from the ground up for a more authentic experience. 

New Region and Sub-Regions

Our new system allowsus to further refine the regions around the world. You will now only hear ATC in their appropriate parts of the world. For example, German ATC will only be heard in Germany.

ATC Facilities 

Each sub-region now has its own ATC facilities, which you can toggle on/off. Delivery, Ground, Tower, Director and Centre facilities are now integrated, so you'll hear relevant ATC chatter at the right times.

ATC Autoplay (Via Unicom 122.800)

You can now toggle on a new Autoplay function to have ATC background chatter only play when your raido comis tuned to Unicom 122.800. This means you can easily switch on/off the chatter without the panel. Plus, this makes it completely functional with VATSIM/IVAO and other online networks without compromising your experience.

Volume Control from your Radio Stack

You can now toggle on a new ability to control the ATC chatter directly from your radio com panel. Simply turn this setting on and then adjust the VHF 1 volume control to adjust the volume of the ATC. Combine this with the autoplay functionality for a realistic way to listen to our ATC chatter.

IMPROVEMENT - Cabin Chatter

We heard your feedback loud and clear! The cabin chatter was too loud and not realistic. We have instead opted to completely revamp this with all-new background chatter and other ambient noise. We have now also made it dynamic depending on your phase of flight.

IMPROVEMENT - No longer required to have the default font-size in sim

This adjustment means you can now have any font size without it impacting the font of the in-sim panel. This should mean VR users can use the panel correctly.

IMPROVEMENT - Optimisations

We have continued to refine our optimisation of AeroTone, and it is now even more robust than before. Since launch, we have managed to save over 3gb of data on your installation.
