No ATC Audio

If you are not hearing any ATC audio, then you may need to delete your WASM cache.


If you have made any custom profiles, be sure to back them up first before deleting any folders.


Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020


1 - Ensure the simulator is not running.


2 - Locate the following folder: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\packages


3 - Within this folder is another folder named 'sofly-aerotone'. Delete the whole folder, including its contents.


Optional - Re-add your custom profiles


4 - Launch the simulator and run AeroTone.




Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024


1 - Ensure the simulator is not running.


2 - Locate the following folder: C:\Users\<YourUsername?\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Limitless_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalState\WASM\MSFS2020


3 - Within this folder is another folder named 'sofly-aerotone'. Delete the whole folder, including its contents.


Optional - Re-add your custom profiles


4 - Launch the simulator and run AeroTone.



Xbox Users


Customers on Xbox can do something of the equivalent by performing the following actions:


Option 1 - Full Power Cycle


  • Shut down the Xbox fully

  • Unplug the power cable

  • Wait 2–3 minutes

  • Plug the cable back in

  • Power on the console

  • Launch MSFS


Option 2 - Clear Reserved Space


  • From the Xbox Home Screen

  • Highlight Microsoft Flight Simulator

  • Press the Menu (☰) button

  • Select Manage game and add-ons

  • Choose Saved data

  • Select Reserved space

  • Choose Clear reserved space

  • Confirm
