Microsoft announced Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 in June 2023. Very few details are known, but it is our expectation to have products in the new simulator.
Will we bring products to the new simulator?
Yes. Our plan is to bring all products currently available for Microsoft Flight Simulator [2020] over to the new simulator. There may be some exceptions to this, depending on what the SDK allows and what work is involved (e.g. if it's better for us to develop code from scratch).
A Complete Guide to Flight Simulator 2023 will not be updated for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
Will I have to pay for upgrades?
This will depend on the product and what is required, therefore we cannot comment on specific products at this time. However, any products released after June 2023 is planned to be updated FREE OF CHARGE.
We do intend to release a guide specific to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 which will be a completely new product and therefore not eligible for a free upgrade. Other products which are older may be completely redone to take advantage of new techniques and tools, which may incur an upgrade fee.
Once we learn more about the sim, we will be clear on what will be free and what will be a charged-for upgrade.
